The gripper is inserted into the tube until it reaches the tube sheet. Then, when the mandrel is pulled back, the grippers open up and hold onto the tube tightly. With the help of a collar attached to the pulling system, the tube is pulled out of the tube sheet smoothly. This process can remove 4 to 6 tubes per minute. The Hydraulic Gripper Tube Puller uses hydraulic power and has a strong pulling force of either 7 or 11 tons. It is specifically designed to handle tubes with grooved interiors.
